Whitebred Heritage is a digital sanctuary dedicated to the preservation and commercial advancement of the Whitebred Shorthorn — one of Britain's rarest and most historically significant native cattle breeds. Known originally as the Cumberland White, this distinct, always-white branch of the Shorthorn family was never specialised for the showyard or the dairy. Instead it was refined across two centuries of border breeding for hardiness, thrift, quiet temperament, and unrivalled crossing merit with the black Galloway cow and the Aberdeen Angus to produce the celebrated Blue Grey.

This platform brings together everything the breed needs to endure in one place: a cinematic archive of its history, an interactive genetic blueprint of its defining characteristics, a directory of the farmers who keep it, and a living marketplace where cattle are offered for sale to the next generation of breeders.
